Top-ranked Skyline lost, 31-17, to the No. 1 team in 3A, Bellevue. That's not enough to topple the Spartans from the top spot.
The Spartans played the Dynasty close and had the loss come against any other in-state team, they’d have fallen from their perch atop the rankings. Who would have replaced Skyline at No. 1? I could make cases for any of those next four teams – Chiawana, Eastlake, Bellarmine Prep and Ferris. As it is, the top six teams remain unchanged from last week.
